Privacy

numberRank is a phone number line type checker. This page says exactly what happens to a number you check.

What we store

• The number and its result. When you check a number, we send it to Twilio Lookup and cache the result (line type, carrier, network codes) for 30 days, keyed on the number, so a repeat check does not cost a second lookup. The cache lives in a Redis store on Upstash. After 30 days the entry expires.
• Request logs. The server logs each check with the number, the result type, the client IP address, and the optional ref parameter, for abuse prevention and to see where checks come from. Logs are kept by our host, Vercel, for a limited period and are not exported.
• Nothing else. No accounts, no cookies, no analytics scripts, no advertising trackers. The page stores nothing in your browser.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, share, or publish the numbers people check.
• We do not send SMS or place calls to a number you check. A line type lookup is a database query, not contact.
• We do not link a checked number to you. There is nothing to link it to.

Third parties

Twilio processes each lookup under its own privacy policy. Vercel hosts the site and the API. Upstash hosts the cache.

The directory

The directory lists companies, not people. Numbers there are business numbers a company publishes or provisions, shown masked, with a link to the public source. See the methodology for how a listed company requests a correction.

Contact

Privacy questions, deletion requests for a cached number, or directory corrections: the contact address in the footer once it is published.
